Create a Taskflow

This section helps the user decide the number of nodes.

After successfully creating a new recipe, click on the ‘Taskflow Builder’ link on the top navigation bar.

Click on ‘+ New Taskflow’

Select Tool

  • Option of selecting the annotation tool where the project is running. iMerit LiDAR (Multisensor) is the latest version of the LiDAR tool.

Available Templates

There are 3 options available for the tool. Op is the Production operator, QC is quality checks and Super QC is the SME performing checks on the data checked by the interim QC.

1 OP + 1 QC

  • This flow has 2 nodes and all the tasks flow from OP to QC

1 OP + 1 QC + 1 Super QC

  • This flow has 3 nodes and all the tasks flow from OP to QC to Super QC

1 OP

  • This flow has 1 node and all tasks are marked complete when submitted on OP

Note:

  1. On selection of the template displays the flow of tasks in the right side under ‘Template preview’.

  2. Irrespective of the selected template, Audit tool is always available after annotation

    1. The sequence must pass through all nodes, in the selected taskflow, at least once for it to be available in the Audit tool.

Name & Description

  • Add a name and description of the taskflow

Editing Nodes

This action helps to ensure that the respective nodes have been aligned with the tool recipe that the annotators should see. For example, mostly the production and the QC person refer to the same recipe, however, if the project requires QC to have access to an enhanced recipe, it can be selected. This is why customization is needed at each node.

Double click on any node under ‘Template Preview’ to:

Edit details

  • Name and description of the selected node can be edited as required

Recipe Selection

  • The ‘Recipe Selection’ drop down lets the user select one of the recipes created in the solution. The selected recipe is associated with the task flow node.

Note: Only the recipes associated to the tool selected here, are listed in this drop down

Deliverable Type

  • Used to specify output file format i.e the ‘Deliverable Type’ drop down menu shows the available output file formats.

Deliverable Option

  • User to specify the grouping/non grouping of the output file structure. The output file gets generated per frame.

Skip Frames

  • Annotators can navigate between frames that have not been visited in sequence. Recommended to keep this enabled as it helps annotator to move around freely. It impacts the feature Go To Frame (Task Navigator)

Click on ‘Update Changes’ when all the required information has been added

Publish Taskflow

On the task flow creation screen, at the bottom, click on ‘Publish Taskflow’. This makes the created task flow available to use and data can be imported using this flow. A flow can also be saved as draft or discarded if required. Recommended to check with the assigned Solution Architect (if needed) before publishing.

Note:

Once a task flow has been published it CAN NOT be edited. Suggestion to check with the assigned Solution Architect (SA) before publishing.

Cloning and Archiving Taskflow

  • A published taskflow can be cloned and further edits can be made to the clone before publishing it. On cloning a taskflow, the Annotation Tool is selected by default

  • A published taskflow can be archived when it’s no longer in use
